Fortunate Gambler

Since its inception in 2012, Casumo has grown to become one of the biggest online slots brands in the United Kingdom, thanks in no small part to its reputation for paying out whopping jackpots on a regular basis. Certainly, that reputation was done no harm when, on November 27, 2017, Casumo was taken to the cleaners by a first-time visitor, within a hour of opening his account.

The fortunate gambler, who hails from Aberdeen in North East Scotland and requested to be identified only by his first name, Neil, deposited £30 and risked £4 on a spin on a 5-reel, 20-payline, progressive jackpot slot called Hall of Gods. The slot takes its theme from Norse mythology and it would appear that the Norse gods of prosperity looked favourably upon the Scotsman, who won a colossal £6.3 million while playing the game on a laptop computer in his kitchen. That sum was, by the proverbial 'country mile', the highest payout ever recorded at the Casumo online casino.

Initially nonplussed, Neil called his wife to confirm that he had really won and, once the realisation dawned, called his parents. Reflecting on their reaction, he said, 'From my voice they knew something was up. I told them I'd won some money.' His first likely purchase, he said, was a season ticket at Anfield or, failing that, a set-top box and pay-TV subscription, so that he could watch his beloved Liverpool F.C. from the comfort of his armchair. Also on his wish list, he said, were a holiday property in Tenerife for his parents, trips to Disney World and Australia (where his sister lives) and a donation to Macmillan Cancer Research. Casumo spokesman Danny Rahim said, 'We can’t wait to see how Neil chooses to enjoy his winnings.'
